Lily & Nick

Lily & Nick

Lily & Nick did their Shropshire wedding day with the most unique and hands on approach.
Everything was done by hand, with family and friends' contributions and/or handywork.
The reasoning was to make it uniquely their own wedding, with their own vision coming to life,
and respecting their own budget.
As a budget Shropshire wedding photographer duo, we felt blessed to have met this delightful couple.
The morning preparation took place in the idyllic Shropshire and Wales bordering countryside, at the old farm of Lily's Grandfather.
The bridal party were on form throughout, giving Lily plenty of support. The fun mood was to be a theme of the day.
Our journey from there took us to Whittingham where the scene was set for the ceremony and day of celebration.
The open field venue with Marquees and covered areas were perfect for the out door ceremony.
More of a festival vibe with bails of hay for seating, delicately made streamers,
and too much detail to list filled the arena.
As a candid Shropshire wedding photographer, this wedding was perfect for capturing moments
as they happened with plentiful opportunity given the nature of the wedding in a field.
A hand made piñata replaced the cake cutting. Instead, Lily & Nick
whacked the living daylights out of the three tiered creation made of extra strength cardboard.
But, eventually, to the children's delight, sweets spewed out in all directions.
Bouncy castle, bowls, hoopla, line dancing, and then disco fun.
This couple created their own wedding, and pulled it off successfully,
and we loved our day as festival wedding photographer dudes!
